Hello,

what's your take on diesel additives containing ferrocene?

There are research papers out there that say that ferrocene diesel fuel burns better and leaves less soot behind which is beneficial for dpf systems.

but what bout engine wear? There's always some diesel in the oil due to regeneration and apparently ferrocene does coat the combustion chamber.

So at the end of the day I guess there will be elevated engine wear due to ferrocene, but the question is how much? Does the benefit outweigh the doubt?

Do you have any experience with ferrocene and dpf regeneration intervals?

Didn’t you get an answer in this thread?
