Hello everybody! This weekend I'll be reaplacing the clutch and flywheel as well the rearmain seal because the flywheel will be off and I'm in there any way. I'm using a OEM exedy clutch and flywheel and a Amsoil mtf. I've never done anything this indepth with cars before, but I'm good with cars and have a bunch of research for the replacement but havent found much for the rearmain seal. Tips on either would be awesome! The car is a 99 Acura CL 2.3 f23a1 SOHC with 203.xxx miles on it.

Not familiar with that engine but, when I take something apart, I mark it so I get the components back together exactly as it was. In the case of the flywheel, it preserves the factory balance.

I can usually pull seals off by drilling two holes, opposite each other, and threading in screws so that the screws can be grabbed with visegrips and the seal pulled out.

Careful driving the seal back in. If recessed, you need to find a socket or pipe of the right diamater.

I am used to those rear main seals being sold as an assembly where a metal housing with a seal in the middle is bolted to the back of an en If that is the case, your job be very sime. Just be sure to have a torque wrench with the proper range, and the torque specifications for those parts. Also, there may be a sequence for torquing the bolts, and you must follow it.

Always clean the crankshaft and apply a small amount of grease before installing the new oil seal.
