E5 Ethanol at the pump?

I've never seen E5 on a pump before, is this common? I was traveling through eastern NE so right in the corn belt but I always just expect E10 on up. I find it interesting that the content sticker, though, is placarded on both grades stating up to 10%.

Far as I know all gas stations do that.

That would explain the E5-half E10, half E0!

Most stations by me sell either 87E10/87E0/91E0 or 87E10/89E10/91E0 so in both cases they obviously are pulling from 3 different tanks.

I use BP ultimate most of the time since it came out. Pumps say up to 10 percent ethanol. Mid grade is also dropped separately and is not a mix. I also get the most mpg using this gas.

Usually that’s what happens, and a 50/50 mix of 87+91 will get you 89.

Almost certainly what they're doing. In the case of this pump (with 87 and 91 fuel), a 50/50 mix gives 89, but are percentages split 50/50 ? May not matter because that sticker covers both the 87 and 89 nozzles and covers their bases with "up to" 10%.
