I know Akebono makes Honda brake pads, but who makes their brake shoes for drum applications?

If you can look at your shoes and/or find a good OEM photo, get the brake code and then search for the manufacturer here: https://dbasesecure3.com/fmi/webd/ameca3 - maybe.....I'm having trouble getting the website to work.
My Jeep Patriot came with Japanese built Akebono pads and shoes. My rear brake shoe code is AK L636 EE, an Akebono code. Akebono USA does not offer my OEM pads and shoes. The Akebono aftermarket pads/shoes are different than OEM. Go figure.

LOL, sorry for getting off topic from the OP's question. Yes, I actually purchase Nissan OEM Akebono brake shoes at about 50% of what Mopar wants. Some Chinese aftermarket Patriot platform rear brake shoes have incorrect pad material length. Attention to details sometimes matters.
