Anyone used tractor fluid rated for wet clutch service in a 93 auto tranny? Any detrimental effects? What has been your experience with it??

Drag racers use it because it's cheap & pressures so are wildly elevated that frictional characteristics aren't really a concern.

I build ALL my competition prepped GM/Hydramatic units for Dexron III, If the customer wants to run hydraulic fluid....More power to him but I'm not liable for it.

Chrysler A500, A618, & 42RH units perform just fine on ATF+4!

Don't use that.

Use the spec'ed ATF+4. Even with that they have issues, any fluid that is not ATF+4 seems to cause more problems.

This transmission has electronically controlled overdrive, so it has to have the correct fluid. There is a torque converter clutch. Use wrong fluid, it will chatter.

There is no good reason to do this.

Use Redline C+ ATF. It is the best ATF to use in your Dodge

No it's not this myth should not be posted. C+ has one one only benefit over ATF +4 is Artic performance.
