I am trying to source an inexpensive pre oilier for my old Ford Excort Twin Cam
Seems like if primed, the diesel may work. But maybe not.
Comments please ladies/gents etc

I think it'll depend on the specific pump. I tried using a take-off Carter diesel fuel pump from a 2000 Dodge/Cummins to pump transmission fluid, and it didn't work worth a darn. The tranny fluid was just too thick for the pump.

This is what I was thinking

My preferacne would be a simple primer bulb with a one way check valve. As all I am trying to do is push oil around the engine before starting, for when the car has been sitting more than a week or so.
I want to stay away from heavy and expensive solutions. But maybe that's best.

Kind Regards
Jim
