Car is a 2013 Nissan Patrol

This is for the propeller shaft grease (uni joints and slip joint) as in the title the manual specs NLGI No.2 (Molybdenum disulphide lithium soap base)

I used Royal Purple 01312 NLG No. 2 without thinking too much about it but now I'm told it's no bueno ?.... this is aluminium based I think ?
Is this grease ok? also planning to use it for the wheel bearings....

This chart suggests those two greases are incompatible.

FYI, I'm not a grease expert, and google suggests Lithium 12 Hydroxy and Lithium Stearate are "lithium soaps"

its compatible with what you are using, if concerned, grease it with the RP and drive it a bit, then reapply more so the old grease gets pushed/worked out. what I see lithium complex and aluminum complex are compatible on other charts or call the manufacture of the grease and ask them.

The RP is non-moly grease but good quality.
How much does that concern you?

I'd like a 5% moly grease for the driveshaft splines and 3% moly or moly free for the wheel bearings and U-Joints.

Your RP grease should be fine for Wheel bearing and u joints.
not sure about the driveshaft..

As I've said many times, thickener compatibility is not the only concern when mixing greases. Additive incompatibility can result in a loss of performance such as a loss of corrosion protection or even promoting corrosion.

On the thickener side, simple lithium soaps such as stearate or 12 hydroxystearate are not compatible with aluminum complex but lithium complex greases are.

Regarding the applications, moly-free is good for rolling elements bearings. 5% moly or more is good for the slip joints or yokes.

This is getting quite complicated ...... I'm gonna adopt the KISS principle and just use the RP grease in everything (might reconsider when time will come to do the wheel bearings but it looks like its good for that also) ..... this car was bone dry and it's just the RP grease that came out when I pumped the U joints....don't think it was greased in years...

You’ll be fine. You don’t want a moly grease in the U-joints. Moly causes the needle bearings to slide vs. roll, which can lead to brinneling or flat spots. Some moly, like the synthetic moly Red Line and Schaeffer’s uses is OK for needle and roller bearings.

Sounds like you'll be fine. I feel like some grease is better than no grease. Like others have said, grease it a couple of times initially to flush out any existing grease and contaminants, then regularly after that.
