Delphi ecu and segment swap

On my 53 project I'm going to get a salvage yard ecu to control a 6.0 with a magnason TVs 2300 and a 4l80e. My question is can I segment swap both trans and motor or should I go after the ecu that was in a 6.0 with 80E?

You can segment swap the Trans Segment on most P01 & P59 Delphi PCM's using the Segment Swapper Utility in HP Tuners. Just make sure the Operating Systems (OS) is the same between the file you download & the PCM you have. You will still need to disable some 4L60E DTC's in the Engine Diag section/menu.

I wouldn't bother with any of the other segments, Your going to need custom tuning anyway & swapping more than one segment just increases chances of "bricking" the PCM.

I'm running a 2005 P59 5.3L/4L60E PCM to run my 6.2L/4L80E using the HP-Tuners Segment Swapper Utility for the 4L80E.

Stock 5.3L & 6.0L calibrations are not that far off from each other, Especially the LM7 vs LQ4!
