It’s part of the CRC GDI service pack. The Friction Guard for oil bottle says to put it into the crankcase. No early-change instructions. It gets left in, as far as I can tell. Says it helps fight DI deposits.
SDS indicates 3 - 5% each of:
2-ethylhexanol
ethoxylated amine
heterocyclic ether
solvent naphtha
ZDDP
The rest is oil of one sort or another (mineral oil, hydrotreated blah-blah, etc).
I have little doubt it won’t cause harm. Anything there look interesting from a friction reduction or deposit control point of view?
