My wife and I are leaving early tomorrow morning for a 9:00 am reservation to visit Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. We've been several times over the years but not in the last 10 years or so. She is a huge fan of Downton Abbey, the PBS series, and this year Biltmore has a Downton Abbey exhibition. Biltmore is an amazing place any time of year, but at Christmas the house is especially beautiful. It's difficult to imagine the scale of the house and gardens without visiting it.

Always looks like a really good tour, hope one day to get down there. I always want to take the ride from Smith Mountain Lake, but its still a good hike.

Take your wallet. I was there last summer and the tour set me back $94.15.

I can't really see ever going back. Once was plenty.

Biltmore estate is on my bucket list, but I thing that I'll kick it before seeing it.

Wellsaid, and I have been there for christmas 5 years ago. Love that place

I have been there in the summertime. Took the Corvette there for a road trip and also went on the tail of the Dragon then on to Myrtle Beach. Its a great place to visit can I plan on going back there again. I would love to see it in the Christmas time of year.

Parents took me there as a teen when I went to school in Fletcher. I took my kids as teens. Beautiful place.

I was in Asheville a few months ago and was told by the locals that seeing the Biltmore was a "must do". Unfortunately I lacked the time to be able to do so. Post some pics of you are able!
