Changing drain plug gaskets

I do. The Honda is very easy as the old washer usually comes right off with the drain plug. The Toyotas are rough. The washers are always stuck to the oil pan as both sides seem to have a coating on them. They are so thin, it's difficult to get them off. I'm actually afraid I might gouge the pan if I try to pry them off with a screwdriver so I try to use a mini plastic pry tool but it's always an effort.

These work well for removing the Toyota drain plug gaskets. They have a rounded edge:

I replace it every time, it costs 70p which is good insurance against any drips
