Not sure if this is a better fit for General/Off Topic, so mods please feel free to move, and sorry if this is the wrong location.

I've acquired a 55 gallon drum previously used to store castor oil, would like to cut in half (presumably with an angle grinder) for the purposes of a burn barrel/fire pit. Wondering if there is any fire concern while cutting either from residual oil or fumes?

Thanks.

No concern, if you pummeled an area with enough heat and sparks you might get some smoke but I doubt you'll be actively trying to inhale it. I would cut it outside anyway.
