One time I was driving down the freeway,(expressway), in San Jose, doing about 70 in my beater 56 Lincoln Capri when I was passed by a 50 something Buick driving like he was on fire, and he was. Flames were shooting out from the right front wheel well, trailing a big cloud of black smoke. In that model car the fuel pump was located on the right front of the engine, so I guess he had a big fuel leak. A few miles later I got off at my exit. Never did see him again. Hope he made it where he was going.
This was in 62,63 if I recall.....
