Carquest Premium 85348 off my Nephew's 2022 Ford Escape 1.5L EcoBoost.

This one was run for 7,646 miles using Kirkland FS 5w30.

Another 85348 was installed with Mobil 1 EP 0w20.

Looked good and caught some stuff in the bottom of the can.

How many miles total on it? Did you feel any of the material that was at the dome end of the can? My wife has basically the same vehicle with her 2022 Bronco Sport with the same 1.5L and I know these run a wet belt for the oil pump.

69,683 miles on it when it was brought over.

No I did not feel the material, but I still have it and may wrap it in paper towels then check the pleats.

@Hootbro, No real sign of belt material found in the filter media. Few tiny metal pieces/glitter and some black carbon grit was I could see.

Thanks for the update. You happen to run any oil analysis on this vehicle? My last one on a 5K mile run with NAPA 5W/20 Blend showed a 2% fuel dilution. Wonder what your 7K OCI's are doing.

One other question, does yours have the plastic oil pan or steel? Mine has the plastic pan that was 2022 phased in change from the steel pan that increased the oil change quantity from 5.7qt to 6.4qt but they did not update owners manuals that year to reflect it making some 2022 owners with the newer plastic oil pans drive under filled.

No, its my nephew's car so I've never done any analysis on it.

Has a steel oil pan, it takes 5 quarts of oil and the dipstick is full. Books says 5.3Quarts.
