Man this just happened to me yesterday on my 2.7! Went to check the oil and the handle snapped off. (it had been getting harder to pull out) I Tried super glue but no dice. Tried drilling it and was going to screw a screw in the plastic to try and pull it out. No go. Finally I took out the one bolt holding the tube bracket. After a short period of twisting and pulling I pulled really hard and the tube came out of the rubber grommet in the block. (The stick tube does have a couple small seals on the bottom of it) After getting it out, I did more drilling to lossen the plastic handle piece and I was finally able to push it out using the end of the dip stick. Tried to find a replacement dip stick but they were hard to find, so I ordered from the dealer.

You have much more perseverance than I do. I'll give you credit for that.

Nobody ever said the 2.7 was the work of a genius. Glad you solved your problem.

Next time drill a hole, run a screw in and then heat the tube with an LP bottle torch.
