Bike fell off ramps (didn’t get enough speed, going up hill) when loading the bike after a days riding and chipped my driver side brake light. Can I just use some rtv sealant to fill in the hole? They even make it in red! Just trying to be a cheapskate when a new lense costs $60. Any other suggestions?

You could also replace the bulb with a red coated one or a red LED type. There are also red transparent covers that fit bulbs to change the illumination colour, assuming they can handle the heat of a 21 watt (typical brake filament) bulb. Then you can run the bike and wait while you seek an inexpensive replacement light cover that fits your budget, possibly from a wrecker.

Your Silicone sealant / repair tape solution will probably work as well, (the repair tape is cheap and works well) just making sure you are aware of all the options. Broken & repaired lamps are a significant issue with resale (some might see it as indicative of your maintenance or other repair habits) which would probably cost you more than the repair when it comes to what you could get for the bike if you sell it.

Truck has broken lense, not bike

gorilla epoxy and lens tape would be about as strong as you could go. Keeping water out of the lamp will preserve reflectivity and electrical joy.
