I have heard on the Rush Limbaugh show about an engine oil that guarantees the health of your engine for life. They are called "BG" oils and services. Has anyone heard of these?

I believe Pennzoil Ultra now has some sort of 500,000 mile GUARANTEE.

Good point.

Though this being an Oil discussion forum, I'm sure the original poster created the post to "spark" a conversation/thread on these "BG" oils. :)

Two Ford products came into our shop last year having used BG. One was a Focus, I remember they needed alot of engine work, cannot say it was oil related but they sure needed alot of engine work. Alot...$$$$$$

This is the sort of thing I am looking for. However anecdotal. The guarantee they provide sure makes me wonder if their product is as good as they say it is. I would just like opinions/observations on the oil.

So you can't say it is caused by the oil yet you make it sound that way? That is funny. Maybe it needed engine work from lack of maintenance and abuse?

I use the BG MOA oil additive every oil change, and have used personally ( and we use their product at my shop). No problems, in fact I've seen great results.
We had a jeep grand cherokee with lifter noise that we cured using BG MOA, its been a while and still no more noise, and everythings running smoothe.
haven't been able to find many if any complaints, and I've been looking

I have their Universal ATF in my Mazda6 which required Toyota type T-IV fluid. I talked to the guy at the shop and he said that it was good stuff. He did say that he'd be happy to put whatever brand I prefered, but the BG is good. I've been using this garage for years, and they know me well. I doubt they would recomend something cruddy.

Maybe the engine was junk to begin with, so they wanted to put some stuff in it to help with the smoke and the noise.

That, or you were watching someone put engine cleaning chemical through a vacuum hose. That puts on quite a show of smoke.
