Is Carfax still the best site to use to investigate a car you are wanting to purchase? If not, what do you use? I got my VIN.

Carfax? Nah ...

Use BITOG! You'll get over 1000 opinions, tons of useless hyperbole, lots of rumors and a small smidgeon of useful data. You'll be no closer to making a decision, but you'll feel better inside.

🤣

I use Carfax and then if able log into the brands ownership page as you can sometimes get dealership records off of there that don't show up on Carfax. Additionally, join a forum specific to that model and read up on areas to look for when shopping.

That’s one thing I like about researching Lexus.

You can add the VIN as one of your cars and look up service history and see everything that was done to that particular vehicle at any Lexus dealership. Very cool and informative.

I wish Toyota had the same set up.

Yeah Lexus and Acura both do it...maybe it's a premium brand thing?

Excellent! Did not know about Acura. Learn something new everyday. Thanks!
