At what miles would you do a pan drop and install a new strainer/filter on a Nissan CVT?

2015. Dan put 100K on it in just shy of 7 years. Gave it to a needy family in December. It was dirty and needed CV axle work, but was otherwise fine. 190K on the clock. Serviced the oil and trans, and installed new brake components all around. I gave them $200 and told them to get the axle work done. The Mom was estatic. I'm sure they will get years of service out of that long running Altima.
Nice story. That 2.5 will still be running when the junk yard smashes it.

Knowing what I know about Nissan and their CVT problems I would recommend every 20 to 30,000 miles. And make sure that the fluid meets the spec for the vehicle. In all reality it's probably best to use factory Nissan fluid but I think Valvoline between their Max life line and their import line should have the specs needed for Nissan's

I used the Valvoline and Castrol CVT fluids.

My Altima has over 180,000 miles. Been doing drain and fill at the dealership every 30,000 miles since we got it with 20,000 miles. Never babied, always driven the snot of it. A whining noise after hard driving is what tipped me off that the fluid needed regular changes. Should probably get the filter and magnets cleaned but it's going to another daughter that barely drives, so I don't think it will make a difference.

I did the first drain/fill around 15,000 miles and a second one right after. Then at 30,000 miles I did a pan drop, replaced the strainer and the external cartridge filter.

I don't have a Nissan CVT but a Toyota eCVT instead and I recently drained and filled it at 36k miles along with rear diff with Amsoil SS ATF ATL. On both drain plugs I found grayish powder stuck on the drain plug magnet. A bit more on the rear diff. I would drain and fill it if you plan on keeping it.
