Is that possible?
While changing the oil on our civic (1.7L, takes about 3.5 qts) my head was up my tailpipe and not only did i forget to take the oil sample (with MC 5W-20 and nearly 5k miles, valvetrain was starting to get slap happy on me) but i dumped the full 12oz of ARX in....
I'm 99.9% sure this won't be an issue, can't hurt.
but should i run the cleaning phase a bit longer?
Engine has 113k.
TIA.

Dont give it a second thought, this oil change, to get rid of the last bottle of autorx I had, I put 4 quarts of oil, and a whole bottle in, my sump size is 3.7 qts. Engine hasnt exploded yet after 300 miles.

I run the full bottle every time on both cars. I even overdosed purposely on the Mazda for this clean (4,000kms). You won't have a problem. Make sure the engine gets hot and run it hard like you stole it

the little woman drives it, so it's always driven like she stole it...me, I'm gramma, trying to get every MPG i can!

My little cars sump size is 3.6 quarts and two times I've used a full bottle.

The other time I just used the correct amount.

Other threads list the max of 1750 miles for a cleaning phase. The issue is filling up the filter so it goes into bypass.

But why use more than the directions call for? It does not help. Given the price, use what is called for and save the rest for maint. dose.

apparently you didn't read the original post. my head was up my a$$ listening to my old lady talk about some #@$%! about the wedding or whatever

rsylvstr,
You have nothing to worry about, and there is no harm in extending the clean/rinse phases. I plan to extend mine up to 3,000 miles each because I want to make sure that the Auto-RX has time to combat whatever esters are leftover from the current Amsoil fill. Before anyone misreads that statement, I will not be using Amsoil for the phases, I will be using Super Tech.
