On their website & in magazine ads they state that the Guiness Book of World Records has proclaimed Tufoil as The World's Most Efficient Lubricant, but I've never seen it discussed about here or anywhere else. The only reason I know about it is from ads in European Car Magazine. I searched, but couldn't find anything on it on thise site. Just curious if anyone else has heard of or tried it?

Tufoil has been around a long time-probably something like twenty years. Tufoil is a PTFE containing product (it also has Moly) that to me was more impressive in its advertising then Slick50. There was even a write up of Tufoil in a national magazine. I tried it a few times myself a long time ago. But I never tried Slick50.
If you type in 'Tufoil' in an internet search engine you can find the Tufoil website. I at first was very impressed with their advertising, but their web site has not changed a great deal in its basic messages for a long time. They still use many of the same examples and talk about the same experiments that they were talking about a long time ago.
Personally I feel that PTFE and even Moly or graphite in the form of particles is the wrong way to go. In motor oil like Schaeffer's they already have Moly in a molecular form, which will not clog oil lines.

Just say no!! It has Teflon/PTFE in it. We all know that PTFE does not belong in an engine!
I used this stuff in my 1985 Volvo 240 in 1990. About a year after constant use the main bearing went at 85,000 miles. Was it the Tufoil or bad luck. OCI was 3000 miles back then with Castrol 10W30. I personally blame Tufoil. My mpg did incease though.

I think what you meant to say was that they proclaimed PTFE/teflon to be the world's most slippery substance.
I don't remember Guiness doing plugs for brand name consumer products but I could be mistaken.

There really was a test of Tufoil by a national lab that indicated that it had less friction then PTFE by itself. Tufoil was listed by name in the book of records; I think that was in something like 1996, but I can't remember the year.
There really was testing of various types that indicated that Tufoil was an unusual product, and unlike other products containing PTFE the company that makes Tufoil was never fined for false advertising.
But I think we have gone beyond all of that. Moly in molecular form surely is safer for an engine with less chance of clogging oil lines. The technology has moved on.

Ahh, that explains why I couldn't find anything. I thought it was strange that it hadn't been discussed here before. This site has covered pretty much everything I've searched for before (very impressive I must addquote:

Now that the search is working, I found only 6 other posts mentioning it. And, yes, on their own website & magazine adds they state: "The Guiness Book of World Records proclaimed Tufoil to be "The World's Most Efficient Lubricant."" Thanks for the info.
This site's search feature appears to be on the fritz at the moment. But when it is up again, try doing a search on the word "Tufoil" as it has been asked about before.
Also, there is at least one UOA posted on this site by a Tufoil user. Results looked fair to poor.
