I was wondering if anybody is running 10K plus OCIs with Amsoil.

15K, 20K?

I ask this because on the other forum, people that are using Amsoil are saying that they can go up to 25K with the oil.

If anybody is running that high of an OCI, do they have any UOAs as well?

I ran the 0w30 to 13K miles when i change dit I just put in mobil 5w30 and it seemed smoother. My mileage was also on a slight decline with the amsoil but I think amsoil seems to thicken as it ages. I did not do any UAO though.

Just because the oil is designed to go that high doesnt mean your engine can exept it. Anytime you can double your normal oil change interval your saving money in my opinion but what i dont understand is why someone will push any oil to its max with out an uoa and all the sudden engine blows up. Just because someone says doesnt mean it can. UOA will be your only proof.

i looked at the guys siter from that link, said he replaced the engine at 360000 and changed the oil every 35000 miles and the filter every 12000ish miles

replaced the engine at 360K? I didn't see that anywere at that guy's site.

I run my daughters car with once a year changes with the 0W30, about 15,000 a year. Her car has good results. My sons SUV, beats the crap out of the 0W in 5000 miles. I am moving to the series 3000 5W30 for a try and if that does not do better then another brand.

I have been using Amsoil 10W30 in one car and Amsoil 10W40 in another. Both get the oil changed every year, about 10 to 12K. One has just over 100K miles and the other has 130K miles and both seem to run just fine.

Amsoil seems to work as advertised for me.
