Is there any automotive filter which will fit in place of a Baldwin B1410? Height of filter isn't a problem as there is nothing in the way. I've mail ordered the Baldwin filter but it's taking a long time to come and I was wondering if any automotive filters have the same thread etc.

In Purolator numbers:

Stock size (X-Small) - L35310
Small - L10241
Medium - L20195
Large - L30001
X-Large - L40017

That's a more specialized filter, and I think there have been discussions about the Fram here. Frams websire lists many interchanges for this filter from other makers. If it is the 3614 size you could use a super tech 3614 for $3. For some reason Fram and others make a special filter for this.

Most all riding mowers can use a Fram 3614 or a cross from that if
you prefer a different brand of filter. The 3600 Fram may be to long
for some applications like Zero turns.

My 2¢

I have a Hastings LF149 on my Cub with the Kohler engine. It's a little fatter, but the gasket and thread size is the same. If you have room you can use the Fram 3614, Hastings LF589, etc. equivalent. I cannot due to space constrictions, which is unfortunate as I use the same LF589 filter on my Tacoma and could stock fewer filters.
