i was thinking about using this 10w30 oil on my c5z06 that ill be getting in about 2 weeks (on its way from california) what do you guys think? and FWIW ill be going to korea for a year and it will be sitting more often, however my wife will drive it a little while im gone to keep the fluids running.

I think you mean the Amsoil ZRT? Does your engine have a flat tappet camshaft. I took a quick look and could not tell. If it does, then thats the right oil. If it does not, then I would go for the ATM. I do not consider your situation a long term storage situation do that does not come into play. Given your wife will drive it occasionally, its just a low use vehicle. She should drive it once better twice a month long enough to get the engine and exhaust nice and hot to burn off any water vapor. Not just start it and let it idle for 5 minutes. I am also assuming your engine is spec'ed to 10W30 in your locale.

That oil is more directed to Flat tappet engines that require much more ZDP/ZDDP. Your engine most likely is spec'd for an API SL oil, there are many good SL/SM/SN oils out out there at a price more reasonable than Z-Rod. So I would use something like GC or M1 0w40.

For storage, ZRT would be perfect. Amsoil ZRT LINK

You don't need the extra zinc, but it won't hurt anything - what you need are the killer rust and corrosion inhibitors in this oil.
