Interesting. It is specified as SN and A3/B4. It carries no manufacturer approvals.

Why not instead spend $5 a quart on M1 0W-40 or Castrol 0/5W-40, which carry manufacturer approvals?

Label. There's also a Amazon Basics 0W-40 that's SN and A3/B4 (no OEM approvals).

warranty is gone so approvals mean NOTHING to me! its bottled by Warren oil + thats good enough for me. most 5-40's are heavy duty diesel, the liqui moly synthoil premium 5W40 i put in about 3 thou is doing better than pennz or mobil 10-30 synthetics were. super-tech euro spec not available in usa for whatever reason figured i would give this stuff a go next change.

Yeah, but without any specs, it could be for gassers instead of diesels. I'm not up on what A3/B4 specs mean. At least with manufacturer approvals, 229.5 or 229.51/52 would tell you right away.

I didn't know they had it!

If I were the type to not use the correct oil in my vehicles, there's a chance this might end up in my Subaru since there's no more 0w-40s or 5w-40gas oils at my local walmart.

Whoah......

"Meets requirements," not "carries the following approvals."

If you want a cheap A3/B4 AutoZone has STP 5W-40.

If it's really A3/B4 like they claim, it's be just fine in Euro type diesels without the more modern emissions equipment, and even good enough for an older pickup diesel, should someone be masochistic enough to engage in the folly of ordering online by the quart for something that takes 15 or more of them at a go.

container says it meets all gasoline engine requirements currently in use of that viscosity. surely wally's super tech euro 5-40 would be cheaper IF sold in USA, both bottled by Warren. maybe this will encourage Wally's to sell this in USA. you can view the container + its printing on the Amazon site

Walmart is all about volume. Probably all those people who buy Euro cars aren't buying Supertech oil so they're not going to stock it on the shelves if it doesn't move.

the 5-40 euro spec synthetic super tech is not even orderable on walmart.com but available in Canada off the shelf, go figure!!
