98 Accord 4 cyl - P705 Code

I gave a friend (single Mom) my folks 1998 Accord, 80K, always garaged and serviced by me.
Car is perfect; almost anyway...

Recently threw a P705 - Transmission Range Selector Switch.
Youtube showed me the switch replacement; just behind the right front tire.

I am gonna try and clear the codes and see if it returns.
I would appreciate any guidance based on your experience.

Cindy lives in Sac (140 miles away) so your advice will help me fix it the first time.
I imagine a shop would run $400 or more.
I can to it for the price of the part; around $120 I imagine.

Easy repair if I remember...mine went out at 278,000 miles. It was four years ago when it happened...think a couple well placed extensions made the job doable.

Car is long gone now, but what a great car it was. It had 289,000 miles when I sold it - I actually sold the thing outright rather than trading it in or scrapping it - bet that thing is still running...I'd actually buy it back if I could find it.

I ordered the switch from Amazon, $98; I probably will not have it in time.
But I will pull the wheel and take a look...
