Engine oil type and oil filter:
Castrol Magnatec 5W-20 E with spec
Ford WSS-M2C948-B
OEM Ford oil filters.

The first 2 year of the car it has just done with a mileage of 2485 (4000 km) and first oil change at mileage of 4350 (7000 km) in 2020. I purchased the car in 2020 as second owner. Oil filter change every time. I only drive about 6300 miles (10000 km) pr. year

Check the condition of the timing belt . Cracks or shedding of the belt? It’s big job but probably will only need to be done once.
It's timing chain on my Mk4 focus 1.0 EcoBoost. The Mk3 and Mk3.5 focus 1.0 EcoBoost has timing belt. Only the drive to oil pump has belt on the Mk4 focus. No interval on the oil pump belt mentioned in the manual and no failures reported on the oil pump belt so far as i know, but i will have a close eye on it and also hear with Ford if it is any intervals on it. It's essentially a whole different engine so to speak.
Added some pic of the car and engine bay 🙂

European model, looks quite nice, Ford killed it off in America. But if anyone is looking for a used one, the 1.0 eco boost comes with a 6 speed traditional automatic instead of the dreaded DCT. So that’s the one to get, or a manual.
Thanks 🙂

Yes Mk4 is the European model. I'm very pleased with it and it has good driving abilities. It's with a 6 speed manual. Only thing is it could have some more horsepower when i have passenger's with me. Fuel mileage is great with 39.2 mpg combined and 47 mpg highway.

The Mk4 ST version has a 4 cylinder 2.3 EcoBoost with 280 hp, that could be fun to drive.

I don’t suppose you could tell me the what size socket is required to remove the engine undertray/splash guard and then also sump plug socket size? Looking at doing oil changes myself on the MK4 focus too, thanks 🙂

I'm sorry I don't know unfortunately, because it's a workshop that change the oil and filter for me but i can hear with the Ford dealership next time i go by there 🙂
