2014 Jeep Cherokee to replace Liberty

Cherokee nameplate officially announced yesterday (no surprise). With higher MPGs and other improvements, this vehicle should be more competitive in its segment.

It will be at the NY auto show next month.

With the introduction of LED's they have been able to come up with some UGLY lighting designs.

Not my cup of tea, but I can see why they went this way. They can't exactly go back to the box cherokee they were using before, as it wouldn't be very conducive to fuel economy.

That thing is just awful. I remember by friend's 2000 Cherokee. I loved that thing. It wasn't terribly comfortable or futuristic, but it was hard to argue against the utility.

Oh well. I'll add this to my list of Jeep disappointments along with the diesel Grand Cherokee that costs an extra $13,000.

THAT is why I say that Chrysler had destroyed jeep. It's a front wheel drive car that's going to have Chrysler's ---- poor quality.

That's a complete disgrace to what was the Jeep Cherokee - the SJ and the XJ.
