2013 impala and ball joints

I hear a knocking sound everytime I turn could that be my ball joints going bad?

Sounds like bad strut mount bearings.

Is it just while turning when the vehicle is not in motion? Or is it turning a corner while driving?

As the above poster indicated, just turning the wheel would probably be strut mount bearings. If knocking while turning a corner at slow speed, might be CV joints, but the sound would be especially prevalent while turning to one side, and quieter when turning opposite direction.

it's when I'm moving slow and it is when I turn left or right. never really checked when I was parked to see if it made noise.

Another way to ask... Is the knocking only when the steering wheel is actively turning, or does the noise continue through a turn when the steering wheel is held steady?
