2009 BMW 328i - Liqui-Moly Molygen 5w40 - 6,000 miles

2009 BMW 328i, ran Liqui-Moly MolyGen 5w40 for 6,000 miles. Mix of highway/mountain driving.

Good report. Low moly, but where is the tungsten?
Some shearing though, wonder if another 5W40 would have sheared the same.

I should add that the previous report was with Castrol Edge 0w40.

Blackstone does not analyze for tungsten unless you ask for it.

Doesn't look like much shearing to me. I did a VOA on that oil and it was in the low 13s. Also ran tungsten...have to ask for it.

Looks really good! Classic add pack, high calcium and ZDDP nice!

The Castrol 40 grades tend to shear quite dramatically but still produce good results, this one looks quite a bit more shear resistant.
