2007 VW Jetta 2.5L Factory Fill, 5,407 miles

This was the factory fill. I'm running VW recommended OCI's. Next one is @ 10k, then ever 10k after that.

Any opinions ?

That factory oil is pretty hefty in additives. Nice flashpoint too.

I would do one more short run before doing a 10k oci.

I don't quite see where this oil is 'hefty in additives', 98LS.....no moly, no boron, and calcium of just over 1000? I was going to comment that the oil did ok, but it doesn't look that strong!

It is Heavy with magnesium an additive. I would also do an extra change before going 10,000 miles. Lots of break-in metals to be flushed out.

Actually it's required. VW calls for a change at 5k, 10k, then every 10k thereafter.
