Hello,
I'm dealing with some troubles with my friend's 2006 mazda 3.
The car randomly stalls and it acts like the battery is dead. It's like the alternator is having troubles charging the battery.
The battery shows 13.80v with the engine runing...is this ok?... It looks kinda low to me,my eclipse have 14.45v with the engine runing.

The resistance between the negative terminal of the battery and the engine block is 1.90 ohms ... i guess there's a problem with the grounds?? because all my other cars have less than 0.08 ohms.

help.

Battery terminals are clean.

That is a lot of resistance. At 10 amps charge rate the theoretical voltage drop across that cable would be 19 volts. Fix that cable and your problem may be solved.

If it's still the OE Pannisonic battery, change it as it's time! If not the OE battery, others will chime in with more info.

My daughter has a 2006 Mazda3 2.0L(not the 2.3L). Although the battery was still OK, I wasn't liking the way it was cranking the engine so, I changed the battery(OCT, 2010) just because she was doing alot of driving for her job and she was away from home without any family/friends support.
