We are discussing the dilution issue with the 3.5L EB engines, not your 2.4L Ecotec. The EB seems generally immune to dilution issues in terms of wear rates; no correlation to be found.
 
Do you propose a mechanism by which a given fuel dilution level has no impact on wear rate in one engine, and significant impact in another? Do you find either of the two engines in question unique in this regard?
 
I have run 2 UOAs on my Navigator and have not seen any fuel dilution or thats what Blackstone says.

My truck is used as a limousine around NYC much like a taxi. Lots of daily starts and stops. 10R80 trans failed at 74000 miles, cold start rattle and major engine work at 94000. Certainly severe service which is why I use 5W40.

Blackstone Fuel dilution figure is inferred, not measured, so I wouldn't be confident in what they display. I know we've seen UOA's from other labs that actually measure it and the reading is significantly higher.
