Only Wix I've seen torn on here was

and that was 10w30 on a John Deere tractor, and a version of Wix (cheaper) with a nitrile ADBV, so maybe it doesn't count compared to this one.

This thing is stout... it's what's on my Fusion right now with some Ravenol DXG. Headed for a 10-12k OCI. It too, shall be laid bare for the board

No NAPA around here ever has the sales on their Gold filters. If they did, I would buy them for sure.

Debbie Downer here to quell all the fanboy-ism. and look at FACTS.

Firstly - Why cut open a --NEW-- NAPA/WIX gold we all know what they look like. same old same old.

Nice photos though. Ill give you that.

Problem with wix - which ive used a lot in the past - as a premium aftermarket choice -

the base end bypass ( good idea) takes up WAY TOO MUCH filter room in the nopw popular small form factors. think fuel filter then subtract 1/3 of not enough surface area.

Nextly. have had plenty of "major" weeps from that flat gasket on various application. Some Asian brands and advanced oils just need a P-gasket. like factory.

Even so I would not hesitate to go Wix /Napa gold in the bigger cans.

I just don't have anything that uses a big can - I bet you may not either.

Crocs are my favorite shoes. Only time I don't wear crocs any more is in the winter. They might not look manly but they are very comfortable, almost like you are not wearing anything at all.
