Well after some weird things that have been happening to me for the last three months I finally decided to have the doctor check everything out. Although I'll admit I've been feeling 80 percent better the last couple weeks or so. Honestly though I don't really trust doctors after what my mom went through with her breast cancer ordeal. She passed away about 3 years ago. It's mainly just mild pressure in different areas of the pelvic area. Depends on the day and some days I feel fine. Ever since my mom passed away I've kind of had a fear of doctors saying that I have some kind of terminal illness. (I don't) but it's just a fear and I suppose you can't blame me for thinking that way.

I hope it goes well and you find out that you are all healthy. Take care

My guess is it's just nerves/ paranoia

Best of luck, personally I'm the same way so I can't blame you. Not something I'm proud to admit of but my father was a alcoholic. They told him he had 7 months and he kept drinking.

Passed away one night 30 years later.

I think continuing on with a life you enjoy and being happy is better than being unhappy trying to live a life that's supposed to be healthier for you. It's all about the stress factor imo. That's what causes the problems.

We had a bad call from a small town doctor and lost my brother - but in general the city you live in is where I drive to when looking for top tier health professionals - that medical center has some awesome folks at all levels.

I had chronic kidney stones-moved to Utah and found a new urologist-and they treated my underlying causes of the kidney stones and my life has improved dramatically.

There are a few "bad apples" in any field. However, most are extremely caring and intelligent.

Use your annual no-charge physical exam (well care) under the current insurance system.

Good luck, hope the Dr finds you healthy.

Something that has really helped me is: Eat Right For Your Blood Type. Available on Amazon for 5-6$.
.

Action cures fear. You're doing the right thing by getting checked out rather than worrying and not doing anything about it. I do hope the doctor has good news for you.

I did the same thing last month. Procrastinated going for reasons I created in my head. Not only did that almost kill me, it shortened my life unnecessarily.

Man up and get over it. If you've put off getting an annual physical for a long time, you've made poor health choices, or you choose to live an unhealthy lifestyle, then you're better off getting a baseline and knowing what you need to do to improve.

At least you're taking a step in the right direction.

+1.

I've always found it interesting how people here will obsess over minutae and UOA's for their vehicles...but treat their body horribly, and don't get a yearly physical/blood tests.

You got that right! Worry about the varnish building up inside your arteries.

Doc will suggest a better diet to you. Then those pelvic sensitivities should alleviate itself. He may start you-off with a little further testing and some antacid relief meds. If you're doing repeated cups of stuff like coffee and sodas, take a vacation from it for couple weeks. It may be your best medicine right there.

Good that you're going but remember that going to a Doctor is like taking your car to the dealership - they WILL find something wrong with you, and it will be expensive!

Having grown up in the medical world and still related to it, if what the doc tells you doesn't seem right, get a second opinion even if it costs you some money out of pocket. They're great folks but they don't know everything about everything, and sometimes they just screw up!

MOMM,

Speaking from experience, don't delay going to the doctor for a diagnosis. I made that mistake. I knew for years there was somethiing not quite right with my "plumbing". But since it was still functional, I let it slide. Finally it got unbearablle and I went to the doctor. Long story short, what could have been an early detection of Prostate cancer with more treatment options, ended up being stage II, bordering on stage III prostate cancer. Silly as it may sound, this whole episode actually changed my life for the better. Best wishes for a healthy report and a long, prosperous life.
