I am. The PC I just built will not be seeing Vista. Win 7 looks more tempting, and the fact it looks better tuned out of the box...umm...I'll wait til Q3 next year...

So will Win 7 PC's come with a downgrade to Vista or XP in case someone is not happy with OS?

My main gripe with Vista is that it won't run my Palm pilot software for my Clie. My low tech solution is to just fire up the Dell desktop with XP when I need to update my Palm database. Otherwise, Vista seems to work fine for most things. Currently using my Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 notebook. Worked great right out of the box.

When Win 7 comes out, there will be NO XP downgrade option. There will be only a Vista downgrade option, which, of course, few will use.

Buy XP now if you want your copy.

My daughter's laptop came with Vista Premium. My main beef with Vista is all of the "pretty" stuff that takes up gobs of resources. Turn all that off and it seems to work okay. I'm looking for another good deal on a laptop for myself, (hers was $399, Compaq CQ50-215NR) and it will either be running XP and Ubuntu or some form of Linux when I get it.
