No you're not. You're rationalizing draining every last drop of a finite energy resource at the cheapest price available NOW for your convenience and short term economy.

That's bc there are no immediately available alternatives. That's why we need to use less bc we're running the fack out.

There may be none...which is the BIGGEST REASON to make it in as short a supply as possible NOW ..while it still exists in enough quantities to perform essential, global sustaining, tasks that we have NO ALTERNATIVE source of energy to do. That won't necessarily include buffering your portfolio.

There is absolutely no inherent binder that mates economic tenets with the reality of sustenance. Economics merely provides a distribution system. There is absolutely no assurance of there being anything to distribute.

Then again, we could just skip along in lah-lah land and do absolutely nothing ..expend all available resources at an even faster pace ..shop 'til we drop ..drive 'til it's gone ...throw a party (as though we haven't) ..and just suffer the consequences.

I can see the keen sense to this. What was I thinking?

If you put aside the whole sequestering/hording aspect ..and Illuminati star chamber stuff (which I mostly believe on a somewhat less "diabolical" level) ..I think he's pretty much on target. Wars are for profit. Most actions make us the facilitator for some to gain LARGE. Nothing really new for me from my odd view
