    2025 Kia K4

No doubt. Says higher viscosity in hotter temps yet reverts back to that piss water 0w20 that could not keep film strength on a bicycle chain. 5w30 should be the minimum viscosity used. Probably could get away with a 40 or 50 viscosity in summer months for sure.

2023 Jeep Gladiator 3.6 5w-30 RP HPS UOA

I have looked at 3.6s under 20k and can't find any with iron in single digits. Some are actually a little higher even with a little more miles on the motor.

I agree but its for smaller displacement and to make more power at the costs of long-term reliability. Turbos are junk and always will be. No replacement for displacement no matter how much manufacturers try to put a 100 pounds of **** in a ten pound bag.

Correct. Was so happy to find a fuel injection non turbo. If a motor needs a turbo it wasn't built correctly.

I'll probably go 5w30 HPS RP for the stout add pack. It's done exceptionally well on my 3.6 Gladiator. Luckily this 2.0 version is fuel injection and not GDI nor turbo praise the lord 🙌. Book says 6k for severe I believe but I will go 3 to 4k at max just because oil is cheap motors aren't.

    2025 Kia K4

Bought a new Kia K4 EX with the 2.0 motor. Looking to see if anyone has used 5w30 in place of 0w20? I had a Soul with the 1.6 I used 5w30 in with really good results.

2023 Jeep Gladiator 3.6 5w-30 RP HPS UOA

As the title states 2k 6 month run on 5w30 RP HPS. Been running RP since 500 miles and HPS since 10k. Truck currently has 19k.

    2023 Jeep JT.

5w20 thought about 5w30 as the first gen 3.6 spec'd it.

    2023 Jeep JT.

Have a JT with the 3.6. Been using RP since 500 miles. Currently at 13.8k. Switched over from API RP to HPS RP at 8k. Seems to run very smooth and idle a little lower. I lknow HPS has the Synerlec and higher ZDDP. Question is the HPS much better than API RP or other API rated oils?

    Engine break in.

Changed it at 2k. Oil wasn't too bad. Did have a little fuel smell but, not overpowering in any way. Gonna run to 4k and get a UOA done to see where I stand.

    Engine break in.

So I changed the oil at 500 miles. Currently have 1500 on the oil change. Now that the motor has 2,000 on it would it be good to do one more change to get any residual break in out then go to a 4 to 5k OCI thereafter?

RP worth over the competition (Walmart Pricing)

For what it's worth it's hard to beat RP in my opinion. For the money Valvoline is an excellent oil as well. I haven't ever used Redline before but, like Amsoil it's more of a boutique than RP if you ask me. Price is substantially more than most and I'm trying to understand what makes it that...

    2023 Gladiator

Looks like 5 to 6 for a pan drop. It's like alot of newer transmissions in that you check within a range of tempature. Luckily we have a trans temp which makes it much easier.

    2023 Gladiator

Thanks for responses. Might look into other options I'm just baffled the ZF 8 and 9 is almost 50 a quart that's ridiculous. I just don't like Shell or Pennzoil products especially Pennzoil. Reason why Walmart always has boat loads of it and Quick Mistake. I know some like it and more power to...

    2023 Gladiator

Anyone use the RP max atf in place of ZF 8 and 9 speed fluid? Says on bottle it meets requirements of ZF transmissions. Noticed that FCA is very proud of the OEM fluid. As pricey as RP is its still cheaper and if it's safe to use its better than any SOPUS offering.
