The filters are parallel not series so it wouldn't be a problem.

Just an update. It has been about 1.5 yrs since completely flushing out the old fluid and replacing it with Full Synthetic Dexron VI fluid and there doesn't appear to be any ill effects. The transmission still shifts out beautifully with zero issues.

For me the UOA is simply for informational purposes because I enjoy this type of thing.

Latest UOA with Mobil Delvac Extreme 15w40 and Fram Ultra Guard filters.... TBN looks good to me and the lead continues it's decline.

The air filter is a Spectre HPR8755. It is an oiled filter like a K&N which is why I said K&N style.

Aftermarket oil cooler is still in place. The good news is the lead has come down significantly from that initial spike so I think the oil cooler leaching is starting to get washed out. I am running a factory air box with a K&N style filter and an Air raid MIT tube which just smooths the air...

Oil temps run 212°- 215° on average and that is in the Florida heat. I swapped over to the Fram Ultraguard filters oil change before last and used the Ultraguard again this go around. I was running the Mobil 1 EP # M1-301A Now I am running the Fram Ultraguard # XG8A Thread is 3/4"-16

It is an exercise in futility, as is everything else in life, you can't take any of it with you when you die, thanks for noticing. I guess I, mistakenly, thought that others on here might just enjoy seeing data from other people's vehicles and the different setups they choose to run. For the...

Latest UOA after running the Mobil 1 5w30 EP and the dual Fram Ultraguard filters... Also decided I wanted to try a little thicker oil but Mobil doesn't make an EP oil in a 40 weight so I chose their Delvac Extreme 15w40 for this oil change along with the Fram Ultraguard filters again. I did...

Just thought I would update this thread for anyone interested. I went ahead and pumped out all the old ATF using the transmission filter line. I slipped a piece of 3/8" clear hose over the pressure side of the inline filter nipple and stuck the other end into a gallon jug that had quart...

high mileage 4l60e pan drop or cooler line

I changed my fluid in my 2008 Suburban LTZ with the 4L60E transmission through the cooler line. It had just under 200K miles on it at that time. I used Wolf's Head full synthetic Dexron VI fluid and it took approximately 16 quarts to flush it completely. I never bothered to drop the pan. The...
