    Loose drain plug

For some reason my corolla decided to have a loose drain plug this past oil change. I torque the plug to 30 lb ft and check it with a wrench after. I noticed some oil drips and oil on the pan. This has never happened to me before. Any suggestions?

    Allison spin on c&p

Unknown mileage on this beauty. Came off my work truck, 2018 Silverado 3500HD 6.6... Magnet was pretty caked up. My guess is that it’s the original filter since the date code looks like 01/04/18. Which means this filter has 70,000+ miles on it…yikes!

    Spark plug torque

Going to be changing out a set of 6 plugs on my brother 2012 Honda Odyssey soon because he has a p0304 code. What is the toque spec? Is it still 13 lb ft or should I do 20 lb ft? I don’t want to have the same issue I had with my wife’s 2013 fit; with having spark plugs loosening up

    New pro tec filters

Has anyone gotten or used the new PXL57356? They claim to only be good for 5000 miles but every other jobber tier filter goes 10k. I’d like to see it cut open before I buy 12

2013 Honda Fit spark plugs loosening

For some reason this generation fit is known for their spark plugs loosening on their own; especially the #2 spark plug. Has anyone figured out what’s causing this? Or a fix for the issue? Thanks

Would anyone happen to have a picture of the oil weight recommendations for an 09 corolla in Japan and 2013 fit in Japan

    Wix 51348

Since when did the Wix 51348 start being manufactured in China?! Nitrile ADBV, not silicone ….DOM 09/26/21 This one is from Amazon, the ones at Oreillys are different. Not sure how I feel about this

    What do nascar engines use…

It’s pretty well known that nascar teams mostly use wix oil filters or k&n, but what do they use for spark plugs? Champion? Autolite?

    FVP filters

Here they are cut open. White is typical Chinese jobber filter. Black seems to be a standard wix except no country of origin on the can or date code

    Napa ProSelect 27356

Not to shabby for $6.41 out the door. Not really liking how the louvers aren’t really all that open, but the opposite side feels like they are. Made in China, which isn’t surprising, but look at those pleats! ADBV is soft, for now, but should hold up for 5k without issue. Looking to run these on...

    0w30 or 5w30

Would I be better to run 0w30 or 5w30 in a 2016 crv with consumption issues? The only 0w30 available near me in 5qt jugs is mobil1, where as 5w30 is plentiful in every brand…not sure what to do…0w20 just disappears in this thing

    Clunking after parts

I have an 09 corolla and I’ve replaced the front strut assemblies, ball joints, sway bar links and bushings. And I’m still getting a clunking over bumps…any ideas?

    Does anyone else wish…

Does anyone else wish they never tripped and fell into this rabbit hole? To be blissfully ignorant about filters and how they’re made? I miss just going to Walmart and grabbing an Extra Guard off the shelve and having no qualms about what the internals are comprised of

    Carquest red

Are they a bad filter? I know they’re made by m&h. Can’t be any different than say an extra guard no?

I didn’t like this car anyway!

Lol just joking! Took off the mp7317 and put on the ph7317 and filled it with the finest Valvoline full synthetic 0w20…btw, seems like Fram went back to silicone adbv, this had the orange one
