As long as both are 5W30 and both are full synthetic, I dont see a problem at all... [censored], I use 4 qts of 5W20 STP full Synthetic and mix in 1 qt of 5W20 Redline full Synthetic.. no harm done.

I hear ya... I normally do 5,000 mile oci's as well, just let this one go to 6000 as Im using full synthetic oil ... which in reality should still be safe to do with synthetic oil... Not really worried about the oil itself here, it's the filter that's bugging me.

Yesterday I changed the oil and filter in my wife's 2018 Chevy Trax ... When I pulled out the oil filter it was a bit concerning as the media is a bit deformed after only 6000 miles... this bothers me as these particular filters are marketed to be good for up to 15,000 miles yet it looks likes...

I've noticed the same while at Wally World... Their 5W30 DOES have the DEXOS Label, but their 5W20 does not for some odd reason.

I've been using nothing but STP SYN Full Synthetic 5W20 in my 2017 Jeep Patriot along with the STP MAXIMUM LIFE 15,000 Mile Oil Filter... OCI at 6,000 miles.... Reason being that it's great oil at a reasonable price... As per a Blackstone Labs report on new / unused samples of this oil it came...

PEAK Oil is perfectly fine to use. I've used PEAK Full Synthetic 5W30 in my wife's new 2018 Chevy Trax since day 1 and it's performed great.... Found it on clearance at DG, so I bought 2 OCI's worth ) We even went on a 3,500 mile round trip ( driving through 117 degree desert heat in Arizona )...

My local mechanic uses the boxed STP oil in all flavors, both Full Synthetic and Conventional.

Been using the STP Maximum Life 15,000 Mile filter and it's been working out great... Of course I do change my oil ( STP SYN Full Synthetic 5W20 ) and filter every 6,000 miles..

If these are the same as "Champion" then they can be found at Pep Boys.
