I had a ton of fuel dilution too on my 95 Sidekick, which only goes 2 miles to work, 2 miles home daily. Short trips appear to do this.

Many of the HDEO's also have a large amount of magnesium, so I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like another "rumor" which we have so many of.

What other over-the-counter 10w-30 meets A3-02?

The spec sheet on quakerstate dot com says the QS FULL SYNTHETIC 10W-30 meets A3-02. Anyone tried it?

I'm just saying that the M1's VOA reveal a higher cst@100C than they put on their spec sheets.

On VOAs, M1 xW-30 products are always closer to 11 cst. I like that, but is anyone curious why this is?

On a similar note, I have a colleague who bought a 2002 VW cabrio with 30K miles. Within a month or so, she had a "check engine" light. Under warranty, she took it to the VW dealer who said it was clogged with "carbon" from bad gas. They said it was from the previous owner using 93 octane...

Does anyone know if Syntec is a mix of Grp 3, 4, and 5? Did Mobil sue b/c they say synthetic must be no Grp 3? As far as I know Syntec could be 50% grp 3, 40% grp 4, and the rest grp 5 and additives. Do we have evidence that there is no grp 4? PS: I say this as a Mobil 1 user.

Ray has a point...there is no group 7 oil....VII is visc. index improvers. Are we not here to get correct information?
