Oil industry loses legal battle to block E15

E15 is in Canada as well (Montreal). I've went to Esso, Petro Canada, Ultramar, Canadian Tire, CoucheTard, Petro T, Olco, Shell and Costco. All of the premium gas had ethanol. Only Shell and Costco didn't. When I drove in Florida, I found a station called "Marathon" that was selling...

    Costco gas?

I tested the high-grade costco gas for ethanol.....and much to my surprise, it didn't have any! All stations here in Montreal, with the exception of Shell V-power contains ethanol. No Ethanol = 100% pure gas Can't go wrong with that. I'm sticking to Costco.

Does Lube Control FP plus reduce Ethanol?

Thanks..It's a 98 maxima and it doesn't call for ethanol. That's why I want to stick with 100% gasoline. I can't always get shell gas and I really don't care about the "energy" but keeping the car engine parts clean. And yes it's $10.00 (decimal in the right place) per tank. I'll stick with...

Does Lube Control FP plus reduce Ethanol?

Hi, Okay this tread is not about a debate on weather or not ethanol is good for my engine or has no effect...I just don't want the stuff, period. Shell V-power is the only station here that is 0% ethanol and since I already have FP plus, I'm wondering if I should just buy the cheap gas (15%...

    Zero Emission No-Noise Vehicle (ZENN)

You can buy the upgrade version or do the modifications yourself and get up to 40mph http://www.zenn35.com/Site/Home.html. I think the 25 limit is to have it classified as a slow-moving vechicle. I wouldn't mind picking one up, but not yet sold in Canada yet (even though it's built here...dont...

What is the difference between ....

Hi All, Excuse my ignorance. I usually buy Esso XD-3 0W30 (synt.) oil for my 1997 Nissan Maxima and I add 1oz of LC every 1,000 miles (Thanks to the wonderful info on this website). I noticed yesterday at Walmart they had Esso XD-3 0W40 (synt) oil for sale but it was in a different section...

98 Maxima: Should I switch to synthetic?

If I go Synthetic I will definately be changing it longer (maybe 8000 miles?) I'm leaning on Mobile 1, but I'm still reseaching on which grade.

98 Maxima: Should I switch to synthetic?

Hi, The car has about 90,000 miles. Oil was always changed at 3,000 miles. Mostly with Pennzoil. The engine was just cleaned with RX and going thru the rinse phase right now. My question is, with such an old engine, do I stick with Dino oil, or make the jump to Synthetic? (I don't have any...

    Transmission fluid was never changed..advice

Just to conclude this thread, I went with the removing of the pan and all the fluid in the ATF..thinking if something goes wrong it might as well be now...Anyways I added AUTO-RX in there drove the recomended 1600kms and drained out the ATF. The ATF pan was pretty clean and so was the fluid, but...
