I tested the high-grade costco gas for ethanol.....and much to my surprise, it didn't have any! All stations here in Montreal, with the exception of Shell V-power contains ethanol. No Ethanol = 100% pure gas Can't go wrong with that. I'm sticking to Costco.

Hi All, Excuse my ignorance. I usually buy Esso XD-3 0W30 (synt.) oil for my 1997 Nissan Maxima and I add 1oz of LC every 1,000 miles (Thanks to the wonderful info on this website). I noticed yesterday at Walmart they had Esso XD-3 0W40 (synt) oil for sale but it was in a different section...

..but if I add the maintenance dose, then there is no need for LC?..I'm planning OCI every 8,000 miles. Do you guys use LC or the maintenance dosage of RX? thanks

Just finished my RX treatment..all is good and clean... My rinse phase is also over and I now switched to Esso XD-3 Synthetic oil and I am also using LC. SO my question is, when should I reapply with Auto-Rx??

I found my distributor for the Esso XD-3..$48 for 12 liters..the clerk mentioned "Esso XD-3 Extra"..I'm assuming this is the same??

Just to conclude this thread, I went with the removing of the pan and all the fluid in the ATF..thinking if something goes wrong it might as well be now...Anyways I added AUTO-RX in there drove the recomended 1600kms and drained out the ATF. The ATF pan was pretty clean and so was the fluid, but...
