So, apparently they're a sponsor of this section of the forum. Never heard of em before now....anybody use their oils? Not a whole lot of technical information on their Web site.

The additives in the oil sample is different to what Valvoline says they should be. Per the spec sheet, Zn/P should be 1120/1000 ppm, and Calcium/Sodium 1880/520 ppm.

Finally got around to doing a UOA for this oil. According to the VR1 spec sheet, TBN starts at 8.5, flash is 248C, and Zinc/Phosphorous should be 1400/1300ppm. Was surprised to see actual Zn/P amounts being higher, but not surprised at the viscosity. Shifts as good at 4000 miles as it did...
