Likely so. One of the two filters was giving me a pressure drop. More than likely it was the secondary filter under the hood. But I always change both at the same time.

I don't remember the part number on the filter I tried. I may give that one a shot the next time around. I think the flow rate for this fuel pump is quite a bit less, 50 or 60 GPH if I recall.

I didn't change the fluid, other than topping the new filter off to avoid a fluid level drop. The new filter is a Donaldson P560694. Trans is filled with amsoil signature ATF.

I rarely fill up directly at the pump. The vast majority comes from a farm tank with its own filter / water separator.

C&P of a Baldwin BT839. Application was a Ford F250 with a 6 speed manual transmission. Service period unknown, estimated 4 years and 20k miles. A Donaldson replaced it. Might be hard to see in the pictures but there is quite a bit of debris in the bottom of the can.
