    Valvoline 5w40 CK-4 in 2014 F250

Thanks dnewton3. I've followed you and roadrunner1 on this forum for a couple of years and I put a lot of stock into your opinions. I'll start the next OCI with either motorcraft 10w30 or John Deere 10w30. Either one is pretty plentiful in my area.

    Valvoline 5w40 CK-4 in 2014 F250

Would it be OK to switch back to dino 10w30 at 93k miles after 70k+ miles on a 5w40 synthetic? I tow at least 50% of the time and the dealership recommended 5w40 to me a couple years ago. I know after reading through this forum for a few years my dealership is in the minority when it comes to...

    Valvoline 5w40 CK-4 in 2014 F250

My supply of Motorcraft 5w40 CJ-4 oil dried up, so I went with one of the first 5w40 oils listed on the Ford approved oils list. In my area Valvoline 5w40 is plentiful at NAPA for $19.99/gallon or on Amazon for same price when not on sale at NAPA. After my initial test of the Motorcraft reported...

    Motorcraft 5w40 UOA Ford 6.7

I've attached (at least I think I have) a UOA for Motorcraft 5w40 oil. It was in my truck from about 60k miles to 66.5k miles so it had about 6,500 miles of use. The truck is a 2014 F250. I ran 10w30 till it had 55k miles when the dealership threw the 5w40 in because they were out of the 10w30...

    Motorcraft 5w-40

I run MC 10w30 all of the time, but my dealer threw in MC 5w40 this last oil change for the same price because they were out of 10w30 HDEO. So far, the engine is quieter and I'm seeing fewer exhaust cleanings. I've always been a fan of the 10w30, but I might be rethinking it, especially since my...

    Mobil Delvac 5w40 (CJ-4) vs (PC-11)

Will the new FA-4 oil be backwards compatible? If not, we're gonna have to be careful what oil we buy after December.

Brand Comparison between 5w-40 vs. 15w-40

For what it's worth, I use MC 10w30 and tow a 12k trailer and a 10k camper exclusively with my 6.7 F250. I've used it since 2005 in my previous 6.0s with no engine problems. The only reason I traded the last on for the 2014 was because with a growing family, I needed doors instead of the king cab.

DELO 10w30 or MC 10w30 HDEO?

I'm new as a member, so go easy, but I've kept up with BITOG posts for a couple years. I'm curious as to why most people recommend anything but MC 10w30? I've ran it in two 6.0s and my current 6.7 with no problems. Nearly 400k miles between the three. My 6.7 currently has 49k miles. If it's on...
