    I agree if only the aluminum wasn't so high, I would definitely stick with PU. I've got two autocrosses coming up, and at least one trip to the drag strip, with some commuting mixed in, should hit somewhere around 4000 miles and will remove the PP and replace with z-rod.     UOA on oil containing assembly lube?

    I just performed some valvetrain work and when I reassembled the valvetrain, I applied some Federal Mogul and Comp Cams assembly lubricant to things like valve seals, rocker arms, pushrods. Will a UOA on the resulting "contaminated" oil be way off on things like zinc, moly, and viscosity...

    It's truly amazing how much iron and copper these LS motors put in the oil. For my LS3, I just ran another OCI with Castrol Edge and after doing some valvetrain work am going to try Penzoil Ultra since I found it at Walmart for $21/jug (after the $3 coupon). Nice to see another LS3 in the forum.
