Interesting. Out of the 7 manuals I’ve owned, only one mt ever had synchro issues, a 1983 Subaru 4 sp manual that I purchased for my first mt vehicle. The kicker is it already had issues with the synchros. Other than that one vehicle, I never had issues with a mt.
It’s better for it to be on the front for control purposes. There are many automotive articles that state have stated this. Even with standard tires, keep the ones with the most tread depth to the rear for control purposes.

Ziebart, Fluid Film, Por-15 or any other corrosion inhibiting solution sprayed inside the body panels(as that is where rust begins) will significantly contribute to the longevity of the body & chassis.
