    Elite Iron Bipod

Just got a new bipod, Elite Iron. Can rotate rifle relative to bipod, and stability is really good with the apex of the legs being above the barrel. Pricey, but figured I'd pass along if anyone is looking . . . Two pix, one from their website and one at range the other day.

Moly causing nickel wear in UOAs?

I have many UOAs where nickel wear tracks moly content. For oils with a lot of moly (Mo), I get nickel (Ni) wear. For oils without moly, no nickel wear. Same engines. An example UOA set for an example engine is attached (have more just like this, so no comments on sample size please). Has...

    Yamaha F300s; Yamalube dino 10w30

Yamaha F300s. Marine application, 300 hp gas engines. Yamalube dino 10w30 this time. The previous three OCIs on these reports were Yamalube synthetic gold bottle 5w30. Did a couple things to try addressing fuel dilution before this OCI: (1) switched to 10w30 dino, and (2) had injectors...

Driveshaft bolts - re-use or replace?

Thoughts? Vehicle is F250. Any chance these are TTY? Manual says replace, but I've already put the old ones back on. Does it really matter? Just wondering if I should order new ones and replace them? Thanks

Foam in Rear Differential - change fluid?

Had a pinion seal leak in my 2014 F250 6.7L. Upon recognizing the leak, when I opened the plug to top off the rear differential fluid a few weeks ago, foam came out. Pretty foamy. Assuming it foamed because rear differential fluid was low and it overheated when towing heavy? It was about 3/4...
