Motor hasn’t run in six 6 years

Chevy 350 hasn’t run in 6 years. We will squirt Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders. I have Mobil 1 15W-50 and 10W-30 ZDDP oil in several varieties. Before we hand turn the crank we will prime the oil pump until we see oil in the pushrods. Does it make any difference which one we use?

Late Friday afternoon, after a quick, essential trip back from HyVee, I heard scraping noise coming from a front wheel. That night I ordered pads and rotors from RA. They just arrived. Ordered 3/20 arrived 3/24 11 AM. They came direct from Power Stop in Bedford Park which is about 80 miles from...

    Wix racing filter

I bought a Wix Racing filter 51060R. On the filter is a warning 'not for street use'. Any idea why? I have used Fram HP4 and not warned about street use. I use it on a warmed up Chevy 350 and run Brad Penn 10W30.

    new oil drain pan

I found a good oil drain pan at Wally's today. It's made in the USA and looks a lot better than what I have seen for many years no matter where I shopped. I will post a picture when I get a chance. Just a heads up in case you have been looking.
